ORIENTATION TASKS 25-26
ORIENTATION TASKS - ALL BLUEJAY ACADEMY STUDENTS
NOTE: Active enrollment in the Bluejay Academy requires the successful completion of 80-100 activities every week AFTER the Orientation Tasks are complete. Assignments sent back for plagiarism, etc. are not counted in this total. The Orientation Tasks are built into the coursework plan, so you are not missing coursework time.
The Orientation Tasks are required and will be graded.
TASK I: (For your first day of BJA)
PART 1:
If you are new to BJA or GPS, please follow the steps on the BJA Logging In, Google Apps, Clever, and Edgenuity tab.
PART 2:
High School Students: Sign up for your cohort’s Google Classroom with the information below. Your cohort is the year that you should graduate. You will find Google Classroom in your Google Apps after logging into Clever.
Freshman -- Class of 2029 Google Classroom Code - rlimkncf
Sophomore -- Class of 2028 Google Classroom Code - kzajmfm
Junior -- Class of 2027 Google Classroom Code - qzy4z7k
Senior -- Class of 2026 Google Classroom Code - pv42od5
JH students do not have a Google Classroom account.
Part III:
Using your School Google Mail, please send an e-mail to BJA@guthrieps.net and tell us a little bit about yourself: your full name, your likes & dislikes, such as scary movies & crocodiles. We don’t want to hear class stuff; we want to know about YOU.
What do you like to listen to, what do you like to watch, what do you like to play?
Do you have a favorite team, artist, performer, author, or designer?
Let us know what you would like to do after you graduate from high school and why this interests you.
Please remember that this is not text messaging or chatting with your peers. Use proper capitalization, punctuation, complete words, and sentences.
Everyone, take a deep breath and check back in tomorrow afternoon.
TASK II: (for your second day of BJA)
Email bja@guthrieps.net with the following information:
If you are blended (taking classes at the brick & mortar school, participating in school sports, attending Meridian Technology Center, taking Concurrent College Classes, or participating in Junior Achievement), tell us the class periods you are at the HS or JH, and the corresponding class(es).
If you are full-time virtual (no classes at the brick & mortar school, MTC, JA, or college courses), tell us that you are not involved in any activities or courses at the regular high school or junior high.
Please remember that this is not text messaging or chatting with your peers. Use proper capitalization, punctuation, complete words and sentences.
Enjoy your weekend!
