Your "Teacher Adviser" is the person who sends weekly e-mail updates to your parents. Your Teacher Adviser will also assist you with and grade assignments for your elective classes. You will receive an e-mail in the first week or two of the semester with an introduction from your Teacher Adviser.
Your Subject-Specific teachers are the individuals to e-mail for help specific to English, Math, Science, or History. These instructors also grade the assignments submitted in their subject area. (So, if Mrs. Russell is your Teacher Adviser but you have a question about an English assignment grade, ask Mrs. Barrett. But make sure you have looked at the comments left on the assignment first!)
- English & History: Mrs. Barrett (kim.barrett@guthrieps.net)
- Science: Mr. Woodard (eric.woodard@guthrieps.net)
- Math: Mrs. Barrett or Mr. Woodard
Within Edgenuity, there is also On-Demand Tutoring available for your convenience. More information can be found in the On-Demand Tutoring/Concept Coaching link on the webpage. Click on the icon in the lower right portion of your Edgenuity screen to access live tutoring help.
If you need additional coursework assistance from one of the BlueJay Academy instructors, please e-mail the correct instructor to set up a time to Zoom or come to Faver. The BJA instructors have students who are part of another program in their classrooms until 12:15 pm each day. They will be available for BJA communications from 12:45-3:30, M-F.

- If you submitted work and it has been returned to you, kindly read the comments from your teacher/advisor before resubmitting the same work. Your advisor will let you know what is missing or what is expected before you resubmit.
- You will find a small speech bubble to the far right of the assignment title. If you open the speech bubble, you will see the message which has been left for you.

If Edgenuity quits working, go to status.edgenuity.com. Your classes are on the Courseware / Imagine Learning platform. Sometimes, if Edgenuity goes down, it can take a few minutes for the notice to appear on the Status page. But, if it is an Edgenuity issue, it will appear on the Edgenuity Status page. You can check back until it shows “Operational.”
If Edgenuity is not the problem, please follow the Troubleshooting Steps found in these articles:
-
